Abstracts will be published in a conference booklet to be handed to each conference participant.

In addition, by submitting the abstract, you will have the chance to present a poster during the poster session taking place throughout the conference.

When submitting your abstract, you can also apply for oral presentation. Presenting at the conference will help you gain international recognition for your work and boost your profile among the world’s leading big data experts. Five abstract will be selected for oral presentation.

Finally, researchers who submit an abstract are eligible for a travel grant. There are 2 travel grant of 800 € each available for young researchers.

In order to submit your abstract, click the link that you received in the validation email  sent after registration to the conference. This will lead you to your personal profile, where you have to log in with your registration number and the email address you used to register. The online submission system will dictate the format of the abstracts.

Please be aware that the abstracts will be printed exactly as provided. Therefore, any errors in spelling, grammar or scientific content will be reproduced as written by the candidate.

Several ‘Poster sessions’ will take place during the breaks for the entire duration of the conference (see programme).

They will host a limited amount of presentations, which will be selected based on the submitted abstracts. Abstracts will be selected based on quality and originality of research.

Researchers will be notified about the selection in September.

Poster design

Posters should be designed in vertical A0 format (118.9 x 84.1 cm or 46.81 x 33.11 inch).

The title should be typed in capital letters and the authors should appear next, underlining the author who presents the poster, followed by the address of the authors.Leave one blank line between the title and the authors, and one blank line between the name of the authors and the address.

Logos should not exceed the final size of 5×5 cm and should be placed in one of the corners of the poster only.

 

Poster set-up

A poster number will be assigned to you before the conference (you may find your poster number in the abstract booklet that will be handed to you at the registration desk).

Please look for the board with you poster number indicated. Candidates will be helped by the on-site guidance for setting-up their poster and pins will be provided.
